OUR PLACEMENTS

There are countless programs for children, adolescents or young adults.  Pathway Partners works with clients and their families to discern the best options. These brief descriptions represent some of the types of programs which have proven to be successful alternatives to  traditional environments and approaches.

WILDERNESS PROGRAMS

Wilderness programs serve children, adolescents and young adults. Such programs are often the first step for many clients. Wilderness programs offer an almost  magical mixture of being in a breathtaking wilderness setting, away from familiar emotional triggers,  combined with sophisticated clinical interventions. The clinical theories and high level of staff expertise make these programs an extremely effective step in helping clients to find their strengths and become ready to address the issues they truly need to face. Wilderness programs are also very effective in helping families begin to deal with their systems and  dynamics as well.

RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT FACILITIES &

THERAPEUTIC BOARDING SCHOOLS

These two options are for children, adolescents or young adults who need additional therapeutic interventions after  initial placement. In many cases it is advisable for a client to go directly to one of these schools from an initial placement. The programs are quite distinct and Pathway Partners recommends particular placements  for each client, depending on what the presenting issues are. The alternatives we recommend have excellent records of success in helping people live productive, happy lives after finding ways of dealing with and overcoming obstacles.

TRADITIONAL BOARDING SCHOOLS

Many adolescents who are struggling at home can function very well in small, supportive boarding schools. There are a multitude of excellent schools which provide educational alternatives and support – whether for learning issues, emotional needs or poor fits for students and their existing schools. There are interesting educational and program options that are dedicated to meeting  the individual needs of adolescents.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE & REHABILITATION

These programs are particularly directed to working with people who are struggling with substance abuse and related issues. This type of program is often the first step for clients with these issues.

TRANSITIONAL TREATMENT PROGRAMS

These programs employ various, distinct approaches to help adolescents and young adults overcome issues with drug and alcohol addiction. This is often the first step for clients with these issues.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Pathway Partners can help you put together the right mix of community support and treatment options either from the start, to enable a client to stay at home and progress, or after treatment, to support a transition which enables the client to maintain and enhance the gains made in treatment. Most successful programs work closely with families as well as clients.
